John Collins '22 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to find a school where my academic and athletic success to date can continue to flourish, for the benefit of the institution, and for my personal growth, with a group of coaches and teammates with whom I can build strong and lasting relationships.  Basketball is a sport I have played my entire life and I love to play.  I want to be at a college that I can continue to progress in academics and play the sport I love at a high level.  I would be a good candidate for any team or program because I am a dedicated, hard worker who would do anything needed to get on the floor and perform at a high level.  I am very skilled in many different categories.  I can play and defend point guard to power forward and play well where ever I am needed.  My high school coach always calls me the swiss army knife because of my wide variety of positions and the length and skill I bring to the table.  This also leads to what I bring to the table that is different from most college athletes.  I am very coachable and can play any spot which can be very helpful towards the team outlook.  I also am very active in my community and always trying to do things that make me better on and off the court.  After a very successful high school career with 81 wins and only 2 losses as a starter, I am attending a post graduate program at The Phelps School in Malvern, PA next year, to continue building on my skills both athletically and academically.  I believe I would make a great student-athlete, leader, teammate, and a perfect addition to your program.
