Personal Statement
Langston on the court:
I love the game of basketball, and I always have. What makes me a good candidate for a college team is:
1) My basketball IQ--I am a student of the game; I'm quick to learn plays and can predict player movement based on studying film and knowing team tendencies, and I understand the every aspect of the game;
2) I am coachable--I am looking to join a team with a coach who will push me to be better, on and off the court; and
3) I'm athletic and a hard worker--I know how to use my body to win, I play hard on offense and defense, and I play until the scoreboard hits all zeros and I never give up.
Langston off the court:
My first two years of high school was spent at Winchester Thurston, which is an independent school in the Pittsburgh area. I transferred to Central Catholic as a junior. During the summer of 2020 I started my own mobile basketball training program for elementary and middle school students. I traveled to clients homes and provided 60 minute skills training. I learned a lot about business and became a mentor to many of my students.
What am I doing this summer (2021):
1) Playing AAU for PK Flash Red.
2) Skills development training and athletic training.
3) I re-started my basketball training program for elementary and middle school students.
4) I was presented in the Pittsburgh Chapter Jack and Jill Presentation Ball on June 1st : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6TQu4l-pH8&t=2346s
