Personal Statement
Growing up I was a three sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball up until I was the age of 11, when I had realized that dedication and commitment would be the only way to reach the goals that I had set. I then proceeded to give up football and focus on basketball while using baseball as a kind of cross training for the basketball off season. Basketball has always been my favorite sport ever since I heard my dad telling me stories of him playing and "shooting the lights out". Whilst playing basketball it has taught me a lot, I've learned not only to be a leader, but to be a better teammate and the importance of sportsmanship. The academic goals that I have set for my self are quite high, but with the right mindset and dedication, I believe I can be inducted into the National Honor Society with a 95 GPA before I enter college. No matter what circumstance in life I'm in, I will always have a constant drive to improve not only my athletics, but my academics as well.
