Personal Statement
I am a 6’1, 160 lbs. senior from Eagle Butte, South Dakota; and will be graduating from Cheyenne Eagle Butte High School in May 2016.
I have been on the Varsity Basketball Team since I was a freshman in high school and have been the Varsity Team captain my junior and senior year.
In my junior year I was awarded the 2014 Lakota Nation Invitational Individual Sportsmanship Award, Big Dakota Conference, and South Dakota Impact Honors Award which gave me the opportunity to compete in the 19th Annual Down Under Hoops Classic in Australia in July 2015.
Presently, I am the Captain of the Varsity Basketball Team, I recently reached the 1000 point milestone in my high school basketball career. I have broken our school scoring record with 47 points in single game. I was selected All Tourney and Most Points Award at the 2015 Lakota National Invitational Basketball Tournament. Currently, I am the Top Scorer in High School Basketball in the State of South Dakota with a 26.8 ppg.
I would like to pursue a college degree in Criminal Justice or Sports Medicine. I am looking for a college with academic and sports background. Financial assistance is going to be important to me and my family.
My athletic goal is to make an impact on a basketball team as a freshman. I would like to offer my dedication, discipline, determination and competiveness. It’s always been my dream to play college basketball.
