Personal Statement
I’ve played basketball from the young age of five. From that young age, I’ve always had the desire to be the best I could be. Where I come from, there is plenty of drugs, poverty, and suicide, but not a lot of positive local role models. Through my athletics and education I want to set examples for the youth and become a positive role model. I’ve learned through basketball that you don’t have to be the oldest person on a team to become a leader on the court.
My goals are to take my athletics and academics to the collegiate level. What separates me from other recruits is my ability to make my teammates better all while encouraging them as well as listening to my coaches. I put 110% effort into everything I do whether it’s athletics or academics.
