Mathew Gist '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mathew Gist, I am part of the class of 2015 at Collegedale Academy in Collegedale TN. I am a hard worker on and off the court. When I'm not doing homework I am playing basketball, and when I'm not playing basketball I'm conditioning.  My conditioning includes crossfit almost every day, I run on our school's cross country team, and I train for triathlons. My collegiate goals are to play the sport I love while studying to become an engineer.  In my down time I ice my knees, stretch, and watch basketball.  I spend time studying my own game as well as watching players better than me.  I am a quick learner and a hustler. I am aggressive but do not get highly emotional when things don't go my way. I love winning. I believe the only way to win is to prepare through tedious hours of work even when it doesn't sound appealing.  I love overtime, and I love basketball, I can't get enough of it.
