Personal Statement
Hello my name is Jordan Barber. I'm a 2018 senior in high school and love the game of basketball, always have. I've played baseball, and pickup football with friends but basketball has been the sport that has always called me and the one I love so much. I think what makes me different than other players is the fact I don't settle with what I've learned by others, and I've learned myself. I try to find ways to constantly evolve my game. I spend plenty of hours in the gym beyond what is required. I take pride in what I do and push those around me to improve. I seek advice from all who has played this game before and I listen. I really want a chance to show a next level coach that I'm not a risk or a burden to develop, but a asset to be molded and a constant contributor to a teams success. I'm currently 6' 8". My Dad and his brother both grew 5 inches after high school and my Dr has told me that my growth plate is still open. Not sure how all this will play out but I'm sure I will grow even more. Please allow me to prove my words are not empty but to show you if given an opportunity, that you and I will both be very happy. I hope to have a chance to study in something in the computer related field in my college studies. Like other seniors that want to play basketball and get a degree I too want this. But I want to be part of a team, and help a program be successful, and I feel confident that I can do this.
