I was introduced to the game of basketball at a very young age. My parents both played on a high school and collegiate level. I became passionate and acquired a love for the game that motivates me to be a student-athlete. I work to be the best on and off the court because I was taught that my educational and athletic work ethic will determine my success. My goal is to graduate high school in the top five percent of my class. I am looking for a program where I can display my talent while obtaining a business degree.
The most challenging experience for me as a basketball player has been to overcome my height deficit. I've always had to out work as well as out think my opponent. It didn't matter that I was always the smallest player on the court, I played with the biggest heart. My height is starting to catch up with my peers which has allowed me more of an even playing field. I credit the faith that I maintained during those times to the relationship that I have with my parents and my spiritual beliefs in God. They have impacted my life in a major way. They have instilled in me to never give up on any aspect of life. I feel that my perseverance, leadership and high IQ for the game of basketball will allow me to be an immediate impact for any college program.
