Grant Shaw '21 Recruiting Profile

I am an athletic point guard.  I have aspired to play at the collegiate level since the first grade. I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates.  I was the starting PG which won 2 AAU National Championships in the 5th and 8th grade.  We finish in the top 10 in the nation in the 4th, 6th and 7th grade.   I was the only freshman on Prosper 2017-18 varsity team which included 11 seniors. We finish 32-4. I started in 13 games this year (12-1) and was the 6th man off the bench in the other games.  We made it to the Sweet Sixteen in our state 5A tournament, which I started in all four of the playoff games and average 11 points while shooting 57 percent from three point land (8/14) and 82 percent from the free throw line (9/11). I was awarded 5A All District Honorable Mention.   I  earned A/B honor roll this year and Academic All District.  This was the first year I have ever made a B in school, where all  my classes were AP or PreAP.  I finished with a 3.875 GPA. I am a great example of a true student/athlete.
