Personal Statement
I am a 6’4” Shooting Guard at Tarleton State. This past year, I did not play basketball. Instead, I focused on my academics and transitioning into college. Basketball has been my love since I first stepped on the court at age 5. Over the years, basketball has taught me the importance of commitment, goal setting, drive, determination, and a team first mentality. I miss being on the court and playing with a team
I am a consistent spot shooter, I play strong help defense, and a I have a high basketball IQ. Overall I am an efficient team player. I am a quiet leader both on and off the court. I take great pride in being able to remain calm and focused in any situation. My consistent demeanor allows me to create trust with my team.
I am consistently seeking to improve my skills, even outside of team practice, by going to the gym everyday and either playing pick up games, participating in skill sessions, or practicing drills by myself.
I am looking for a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
