My name is Charles Bohannon. I am a 6’2“, 195 lb. PG/SG for Hays High School in Buda, Texas. Buda is a community just south of Austin.
I just completed my junior year with Hays, which was my third year on varsity. I was the starting point guard for our team and led the team in scoring. I was the only one on our team named first-team all-district by the coaches.
2 years ago, as a freshman, I was on the varsity team. While I did not start, I did contribute with significant minutes and points for our team, which made it to the regional finals (elite eight). And last year, as a starting guard, I led to team in scoring and was a big part in making it to the playoffs.
I have played club ball since I was in the third grade. I have always played up with my club teams until 2 years ago, when I joined a team comprised of players my age. This year especially in the Adidas Gauntlet series, I look forward to taking on every challenge offensively and defensively that approaches me.
I love basketball and am dedicated to the game. I am a leader and I believe in creating positive team chemistry. I am a hard worker and am always looking for ways to improve all aspects of my game.
I have also participated in track and field, both on varsity for my high school and on a club team. My events are the explosive events: the 4x1 meter relay, 100 and 200 meter dashes, the long jump . I joined my club track team when I was in the second grade. I have been able to participate in several AAU Junior Olympics Games with my club team, and have returned home with a total of one gold medal, three silver medals, and one bronze medal.
Academics are as important to me as athletics. My plan for college currently is to study and receive a degree in Aerospace or Architectural engineering while possibly minoring in economics. All of my core classes are either AP or pre-AP classes. I am currently ranked in the top 10% of my class. I always make sure my schoolwork is the first priority.
I am looking for a school that is a good match for me academically and athletically. I look forward to being a student-athlete. I will represent the school that I attend with dignity and honor. I know that I have the talent to compete for a college team, and also the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
