Personal Statement
I come from a family of athletes. My mother is an ex Level 10 gymnast and my father is an ex collegiate and professional baseball player. Sports have been a part of my world from the beginning. I have played and excelled in soccer, gymnastics, baseball, football, and basketball. Basketball is where my heart is! Through the years I have had a personal struggle being smaller than all of my competition. This didn’t stop me from earning the starting spot as quarterback and point guard in Jr. High and my freshman seasons. Over the years, I have learned to be tough and use other things besides my height to my advantage – my mind! I can see the court, the open man, and make the right plays.
Having a great family and living in the country has made me thankful with a positive outlook on life. I am the oldest of 4 and have always been the leader in my family and school life. I plan to graduate high school in the top 6% of my class so I am not limited to where I can attend college and play basketball. I’m looking for a college program that values hard work, hustle, and heart. So when my height kicks in, I’m ready to go!
