Corby Filice '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was five years old. Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, soft hands, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of. Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA of a 4.25 I also volunteer as a Assistant coach for the Forney Lions Club in basketball. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all peers and make my parents proud.

I mean it's hard to lose people close to you,as I lost one of my biggest supporters  my NANA due to cancer.   She would always tell me you can do anything  you put your mind to and never give up on your dream. People always told me that I was special and they expect me to make it. I EAT, SLEEP, AND DRINK Basketball. That's all I do, sometimes I get in trouble for staying at the gym too long on school nights and week days. My Mother try's her best to support me and come to my games, but sometimes she has to go to work to supply me with the things I need to survive.
