Basketball is an amazing sport that constantly challenges me mentally and physically, and that is why I love the game.
I have been playing competitively for many years, and have worked very hard to build an all around game with a high game IQ, offensive skills, and defensive focus. As a result I have earned starting varsity every year beginning my freshman year and our team made it to the second round of the TAPPS 5A state playoffs two of my 4 years.
I was also fortunate to be recruited to play for elite national AAU programs such as DFW Defenders (Under Armour Association), Marcus Smart's YGC36 (Adidas Gold), and Team Boost (Adidas Gold). I had great experiences playing against nationally ranked competition in Adidas Gauntlet and Under Armour Association circuits, and also other major events such as the Great American Shoot Out.
My senior high school season our team was blessed to play into the 2nd round of the TAPPS 5A state playoffs narrowly missing the next round by 2pts at the buzzer.
TAPPS awarded me:
2nd Team All-state
Academic All-state
1st Team All-district
1200+ Career Points Scored
The 2018 spring and summer AAU season was an intense and very competitive experience. I had the opportunity to play for two teams, Last Shot and DFW Defenders an Under Armour Association program. Both played high level competition in major events against teams with players that had multiple division 1 offers. In July alone DFW Defenders played in 4 events and 15 games, against elite competition in events such as the Atlanta Under Armour Challenge in Atlanta, the Great American Shoot Out in Dallas, and the Fab 48 in Las Vegas. Over the 15 games I averaged 9 PPG, 40% 3PT with 29 shots made, 45% 2PT, 2 steals (35 total) and 2 blocks per game.
In my 3rd year playing varsity, I was also selected to Second Team All-District and Academic All-State.
For the 2017 spring and summer AAU season I played with Team Boost Elite 2019, an Adidas Gauntlet Gold division team. In the Adidas Summer Championships Las Vegas event, we made it to the Silver Championship game and took 2nd place.
As a sophomore I was awarded the Offensive MVP and First Team All District having lead my high school team in scoring for the 2016-2017 season. I helped my high school team make it into the second round of the Texas 5A TAPPS playoffs after not having made the playoffs the past four years. Starting varsity as a freshman I was awarded District Honorable Mention.
Academics are very important to me, I have taken a challenging course program consisting of AP, Dual Credit, and Pre-AP classes and each of my high school years I achieved the Fort Worth Christian School A-B Honor roll. In February 2017 I was inducted into the National Honors Society.
Also, I was blessed to receive a special honor as one of the Semi-Finalists for both the 2019 and 2017 Christian Athlete of the Year Award (TX).
In college, I plan to study business.
