Personal Statement
Hello my name is Nedal Zahra. I am currently going to North Garland High School. I am 16 years old. I am currently a sophomore. I am 5 feet and 10 inches. I weigh about 170 pounds. In all honestly basketball is my life. I love basketball from the bottom of my heart. It is the only sport I desire. I wish to achieve my two dreams in life, to make my family proud of me and to make it to the NBA. I know it's going to be a tough ride to the top but I am willing to do anything to get there. I have no special coach or anything like that, I train by myself, I try to practice almost everyday. I currently do drills with some Taylor Allen videos that I bought. In basketball I see myself as a leader. I never let anyone slack, always trying to get the best shot for my teammates and I, and I try to win everygame that I play. I love to pass the ball and play defense to the best of my abilities. I am a shooter as well, and I love to drive to the hoop every chance I get, no matter how much pain may occur. I am signing up for basketball leagues this summer and I try to play in every tournament I can find and can afford. I hope to get better as a player and as a leader on the court. The one thing I do on the basketball court is play with heart. Many players don't play with heart; Some of them give up and some people get to cocky. I am not those types of players, I am humble and support my teammates through the good and the bad. Academically, I have good grades. I rank top 160 out of 690. My GPA out of 5 is a 3.6. I am in DC and AP classes. I pay attention in class and I don't cause any trouble. Getting a scholarship would mean the world to me and that's why I am willing to go the extra 100 miles to get there.
