Hello, potential collegiate Basketball programs, my name is Ben Shipkey, and I am a rising senior. I know that I am an excellent candidate for any program due to my keen work ethic. I strive myself on pushing myself to my highest potential in both athletics and academics. I want to be one percent better every day. I believe that my work ethic is different from most athletes. I wake up every day at four in the morning and better myself for almost the entire day. I see the value in time and hate wasting time on social media. I see myself as a no-nonsense athlete that a coach would never have to worry about. I feel that my strong drive and work ethic will elevate me above all of my naturally talented counterparts. I am a player that will make practices better, and continue to improve due to my drive and commitment towards the game.

- AwardsI have been a Trustee Scholar since the eighth-grade year, meaning I have had a 3.8 GPA and above every single semester/trimester. In my sophomore year, I won the language award for advanced learning in the Spanish language. In my eighth-grade year, I won the History award for advanced learning in history. This year, my Junior year I received the English Award and was once again a Trustee Scholar. I was also Academic All-State for basketball this year. I have been on High Honor Roll my entire life.
