Personal Statement
In the Year of 2012, I was motivated to change my life for the better, and my journey for basketball started right there. As a freshman in high school, I was very under-sized and weak, I couldn't lift like the other kids and I wasn't as fast. My main obstacle as a high school player was proving others wrong, working on my weaknesses, and showing them what I can do. As a sophomore in high school I was a starter on my junior varsity team and showed my coach what I can do as a player, and played varsity for my first time that year. However the summer of my sophomore year, I grew as a person and learned many life important lessons. I just don't believe in being an athlete anymore, I believe in being a student-athlete and always keep my mind in the classroom when I'm not on the court. I maintain a 3.7 GPA. I not only have a talent to show for a college program, but I have a great work ethic, character, and immediate leadership skills to fall back on. I would love to make a impact on any college program and show them what I am capable of.
