Personal Statement
I have always been a leader in all sports I have played, from being recognized as the MVP player at the Little League World Series to numerous times in football. I am currently the leading player in assists for my high school varsity team and leading my summer AAU team in scoring with 19ppg 4ast 4rebounds and charges 14. I was a late bloomer to basketball and started in grade 7 after I stopped playing football. Sheer passion drove me to practice at least 3 hours a day that heightened my physical condition, confidence, and ability to excel as a player. This senior year I was first team all district/ defensive player of the year of the district/ first team all county / defensive player of Montgomery county MVP/ 2nd team all houston
While I often struggled in school, this year with the same determination and support I earned a 3.5 GPA. I plan to continue to challenge myself in sports and academics with the same focus.
On the court I am a very dynamic player with a positive influence on the team. As I grow thought-out my basketball career I want to push forth my dedication and undeniable drive to succeed both on the court and off. I have always been praised as a student and athlete with great respect to my team, coaches, teachers, and school.
I crave competitive environments and recognize that intense preparation and working with a team toward a common goal will apply to my basketball career and are lessons that I plan to apply in life.
