Personal Statement
I have played Basketball and soccer since I was 6 years old. I always wanted to play basketball at the college level. For the last few years I have focused on basketball and I currently participate in high school basketball. I have played on competition basketball teams where the team was hand picked by the coach, and I currently play for Utah Premier, coached by Anita Rowland. I am a high percentage shooter with great court awareness’, and can finish in traffic with either hand. I am a good ball handler with a great step back and quick release. I feel confident, when appropriate, shooting from anywhere on the floor. I am a team player and respectful of my coaches’ input and guidance. I get along well with my teammates both on and off the court. I have worked hard in the offseason maintaining my skills by spending time in the gym.
I am a responsible member in the community and help in my community by cleaning up yards, participating in food drives, and donated blankets and clothing to the Alliance House. I am a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was awarded the Eagle Scout Award.
My academic life is very important and I have maintained a high GPA. I was awarded first place in the Utah State History Fair and participated in the National History Fair in Washington, D.C. I have been on the honor and high honor roll and involved in the Honor Society. My goal is to attend college where I can play basketball and graduate with a degree in the Medical field.
