Like many boys, I have dreamed of playing college basketball ever since I could remember. My grandfather and my father both played on the college level, my grandpa being on the only BYU team to ever win a championship (1951). However, my parents chose to raise us in a VERY rural community so although I excelled in basketball, leading my team to win a state championship one year and losing in the championship game by a small margin the next, because my high school is in our State's lowest classification, my exposure on the college level has been zero. In addition, after graduation I chose to serve a religious mission for my church and have been serving in upstate New York for almost two years. I will return home in June and would like to pursue basketball on a college level. I am a natural at basketball and see the floor unusually well, something that can't really be taught. I have high standards in academics and in life. I am very coach-able and know how to be part of a team.
