Personal Statement
My name is Jeremy Dowdell. I play varsity basketball for Olympus High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am 6'4" and 175lbs.
I am the shooting guard for the #1 ranked team in Utah. My Freshman year (2016), we won the 4A State Championship. My Sophomore year (2017), we were ranked #1 in 4A and lost in the State Championship game in double overtime. This past season, my Junior year (2018), we were ranked #1 in Utah and finished the season 27-0 and won the 5A State Championship. We finished the year ranked 16th in the Nation. Senior year, we were ranked #1 in 5A all year and lost in the State Semi's.
My Junior year: I finished the season top 3 in the State in scoring (21pts/game), points per 32min (26pts/game) and I led the State of Utah in 3-pointers made (103) and 3pt shooting percentage (46%). I finished the season with the 2nd most 3-pointers in State History. I was recently chosen as the 5A MVP.
Senior Year: I led the State of Utah in scoring (all divisions) at 28.3 points/game (31 points/game per32). I set the Utah State All-time single season (117) and career (307) 3-point records. I set 5 All-time Utah HS scoring records in my career as well as every offensive record in Olympus HS history. I finished my senior year ranked #4 in the country in scoring (per32) and ranked #7 in the country in 3-pointers per game (4.6).
I currently have 5 D1 offers and have not made a decision where I want to play basketball in College.
