Owen Blakey '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently serving a 2 year ecclesiastical mission for my church in Zimbabwe and will be completing my time as a missionary this fall. I have grown tremendously during the past two years, but have also realized my desire to continue playing basketball at the next level! I understand the importance of looking outside myself and working with a team to make those around me better, as well as accomplishing personal and team goals. I am very self motived and been told I am a natural leader. I have worked as a leader in Zimbabwe most of my time here and understand what it takes to be successful, as well as the importance of building the capacity of those those around me. I hope to have the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream of mine to play basketball at the next level and continue to find success on the court, classroom, and life.
