Alexander Huhtala '19 Recruiting Profile

I come from a family that isn’t exactly about sports. I’m the only one other than my little brother who enjoys playing/watching the beautiful game of basketball. Although my family isn’t too concerned about basketball (except me), my parents promote hard work and leadership through responsibility, accountability, and humility. I’d be a good candidate for your team because I appreciate the game and what it does for me. I don’t play for the potential fame and fortune that may come from involvement in basketball, I play because it makes me feel reassured and free. The game sets me free. And I love my freedom, and I won’t let anyone take that away from me. What sets me apart from other players is my patience. I’m not going to be a hothead on the court, I know how to compose myself when there are calls made, trash talk from opposing players, and harassment from crowds. I know how to represent my team anywhere I am at and I hold myself to the highest standards.
