January 2025 Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Joel Castro, Jr. Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was a kid. I was given the opportunity to play on my High School team at Charlotte Amalie High in 9th grade; however, due to COVID, all sports and schools were shutdown. I moved to Florida to complete my senior year at Fort Pierce Central High School. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be a part of the team due to late enrollment. After graduating High School, I took a year off to work before applying to college. On my down time I continued training and working on perfecting my basketball skills with my friends. I am now ready to begin college and would love to be able to continue with playing basketball as a student athlete.
