Personal Statement
For many years I've faced the obstacle of being label the underdog. Some mistook my concentration in the game as being soft spoken which transferred to some doubting my physical capabilities. I am coachable and a team player. My strong suit in the game is my ability to take critiques and solve them head on. My concentration in the game allowed me to gain knowledge off the court and transfer it to the playing field. I've learned to never judge a book by its cover because in my case a beast was unleashed from a book some didn't have the time to open. I aspire to be someone's way out from the underground and coach them on the hard work and determination it takes to be where I'm now. My goals are to increase my academic abilities, succeed in college, and the NBA. My dedication and determination are through the roof as I have overcome adversity numerous times. My setbacks have only resulted in major comebacks. I will be a better version of myself not only physically, but mentally all around as there are lessons to every story and chapter in my life. I am ready to flip to the next chapter.
