My name is Joshua Gibson (I go by Porter), and I am currently a senior in high school. The season is going quite well given the circumstances. Faith-wise, I am a Christian and have always been brought up in a Christian household and hold tight to those values. I believe that God and family comes first. I believe in sportsmanship as well as being the best friend and the best person I can be to others. I also firmly believe in working hard and and never giving up: that things are not given to you in life and you have to work hard for what you really want. Academically, I always believe in applying myself and doing the best I possibly can. I have always done well in school and earned the grades I am capable of. I intend to major in multimedia/communications. My dream is to play college basketball somewhere, and I am very passionate about the sport. I am a team-player, I know what my strengths are and I work to improve where I'm lacking. Everyone has a role to play and I do my best to adapt to team needs and am willing to do what the coaches need me to do so the team succeeds.
Other sports I enjoy playing are baseball and soccer. Some of my other hobbies and interests are watching college basketball and college football, Formula 1 and NASCAR, and I enjoy digital photography.
