Personal Statement
I fell in love with the game of basketball when I started playing at 7 years old. My greatest inspiration is my father, who continually teaches me to pour my heart and soul into the game with my training, competitive games, and by studying the game. I have always been the type of player willing to do whatever it takes for my team to succeed. My ability to defend all positions, create opportunities for my teammates, and score the basketball from all levels separates my skillset from my peers.
I have decided to play a Post Graduate year at Massanutten Military Academy, where I played on the Post Graduate team my Senior Year of High School. Spending this time away from my family, friends, and former teammates that I had played with for years allowed me to gain a new perspective on the game and appreciate the level of competition and work ethic necessary to continue to play basketball at the collegiate level. I pride myself on being a great teammate, coachable, and a player that thrives in a structured environment.
I can run a team from the PG position, be a knock down shooter with unlimited range at the SG position, be a slasher with a midrange game at the SF position. My lengthy 6'5" frame gives me an advantage offensively and defensively against my opponents.
I have not fully determined what I want to study in college, but I will choose either to major in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Health-care related field. Academics always came easy to me, and I oftentimes felt unchallenged in the classroom. I will seek a profession that will be rewarding Professionally and Financially.
Both of my parents are Pharmacists, and my father has been a Small Business Owner since 2017 and I have watched him work tirelessly to grow one of the most successful small businesses in Hampton Roads. I share his vision of hard work and determination as I move forward in the game of basketball and in life and any school that is interested in having me play at their school, I will be thankful for the opportunity.
