Personal Statement
I played my freshman year at Idaho State University (2011/12) then redshirted at Marquette University (2012/13) and then played as a redshirt sophomore at Casper College in Wyoming in 2013/14. I have 2 years of NCAA eligibility left and now qualify for the 4-2-4 transfer rule. I averaged 10.5 ppg and 7 rpg while shooting 53% from 3 point range in conference play at Casper. I shot 80% from the free throw line in conference. I had 18 assists with only 12 turnovers in 21 min per game. (you tube video of 2013/14) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Jvd_HsXxc I will be eligible to play NCAA D1 in 2014/15 and 15/16 seasons. http://stats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2013-14/div1/players/garrettswansont89s4 transfer rule because I have my AA degree at Casper and I have already completed over 60% of my credits toward my 4 year degree. I just got a 3.63 in my last semester at Casper. I redshirted at Marquette University with coach Buzz Williams in 2012/13. I want to play basketball for a great school and earn a degree in psychology and eventually a doctorate degree. I averaged 21 points per game in high school as a senior and 9 rebounds per game shooting 46% from 3. As a freshman at Idaho State University my coach was let go midway through the season so after the season I was fortunate to transfer to Marquette where I got to work with the best of the best. I played in 19 NCAA Division 1 basketball games in 2011-12 as a true freshman I averaged 4 ppg and 2 rpg in 13 minutes pg. I have gained over 20+ pounds of solid muscle and gained a lot of quickness and speed working hard at Marquette. I have learned what it really means to play hard and physical while at Marquette. I would love to use my skills for a D1 team that needs them. I want to play at the highest level that I can and help my team win.
