Personal Statement
You will never have to question my heart or effort on and off the court. I love being at the gym before everyone gets there and leaving because the lights turn off. I love working early mornings and late nights. I enjoy getting better and holding my teammates to the highest of standards.
I have been playing basketball since the second grade, but competitively (on a team) since sixth grade. Basketball has helped me break out of an introverted shell that was not very beneficial to me. I have developed in leadership, discipline, and most importantly building relationships because of this great sport.
I have held a minimum 3.5 GPA since my freshmen year. I hold a current A average. My intended major at your school is Exercise Science/Kinesiology. I enjoy learning how the body works while preventing injuries, more so in sports specific circumstances.
I proudly help run an audio/video media booth at my church every Sunday since freshmen year while also being on my church's usher board. I am a current member of Men on the Move, a mentorship group focused on young men of color growing and developing through activities, reflection, and learning.
