Personal Statement
I started playing AAU competitive basketball in 3rd grade. It was scarry at first, but I quickly fell in love with the game and the competitive nature of the setting. During 6th grade I played up on the middle school basketball team and started both in AAU and in school league. My freshman year was met with adversity in the beginning of the season. After thinking I would be on varsity I was put on JV. I was very disappointed, but it spurred me to work harder and be more focused on developing myself into the player that I knew I could become. I focused my mind on all of the things that I had been taught to do and really applied myself to follow the lessons that I had learned. Reps, cardio, diet, weights, visulization, first to show last to leave. After my first couple games I was moved up to varsity due to multiple 30 point games. I've learned a lot about myself during that time and I know now that I simply need to outwork my competitors. I am dedicated to the game and my goal is to be a 50% three point shooter throughout my career. I am 100% focused on doing what the other guys aren't willing to do and embrace the challenge. I am thankful for your consideration and look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your program. I finished off my senior year being First Team All League, All State , State Champions and Academic State Champions as well as earning the State WIAA State Sportsmanship award. I love this game!
