Personal Statement
My name is Diego Garza, a 5’9 Point Guard from Yakima, Washington. I attend La Salle High School , class of 2024. My parents moved us from our small town in Central Washington for a better opportunity at an education when I was in 6th grade. During that move, with no friends and a new school, I threw myself into basketball and training. It was in basketball that I found peace, friendship, and purpose. I work hard, in practice I will give you my all; on the court, I will play until the last whistle blows. I am coachable, a great teammate, and a leader. It’s important to me to work as hard on the court as I do off. I want to go to college and get a degree. My ultimate goal is to play college basketball and perhaps beyond. I have been blessed with great role models and I want to be that for the kids following me. When I‘m not in the gym, I love fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Learning and growing is something I am always trying to do, I hope to learn and grow under your coaching!
