Personal Statement
From a young age, I have set a goal to play basketball at the collegiate level. I have consistently worked on my basketball skill set to ensure that I am prepared to play basketball at the next level in all phases of the game. I am a true point guard that has the ability to control the game and make my teammates better. My elite ball handling skills allows me to breakdown defenders to create my own shots or facilitate to my teammates. I am able to score from the three point area, mid-range and finishing at the rim. Defensively i have always guarded the best player on the opposing team. My quickness and lateral movement coupled with my toughness makes me an elite defender. My overall athletic ability and my basketball IQ will allow me to be a tremendous defender at the collegiate level. I truly enjoy impacting the game on the defensive end.
Off the court, I work hard in the classroom maintaining a high GPA. I have high values and morals in my personal life. I volunteer my time passing on my basketball knowledge to the youth of my community. I enjoy giving back to my community and being a role model.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom, on the basketball court and personally. I am open to all options and look forward to finding the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
