Personal Statement
My name is Sam Hytinen, I am a 6'5" 205 lbs graduating class of 2021 from Arrowhead High School, Hartland, WI. I am a left-handed wing/guard with a good feel for the game and deep shooting range. I was a 3-year Varsity Starter (+70 plus starts) and played a big role for very good Arrowhead squads as a sophomore, junior and senior. The Arrowhead team made the Sectional Levels of the WIAA playoffs in both the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons.
My 2020-2021 Arrowhead Team Season Highlights:

Averaged 16.8 Points Per Game, 8.9 Rebounds Per Game, and 1.6 Assists Per Game
Nominated by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association to play in the WBCA all-star game to be held in July 2021
Earned first-team all-league honors in the Classic Eight Conference.

I am looking for a school that plays high-level basketball and is the right fit for me academically. I am pursuing universities with a strong business and communications program and a competitive basketball team. I would like to attend Law School after I receive my undergraduate degree. I can be a leader on offense and am a strong defender as well. I also am very coachable and can be a role player as necessary. I am highly efficient and produce big numbers with limited touches. I believe I am mid-major to low D1 talent but would definitely consider D2 opportunities.
I currently have a 21 on the ACT and my cumulative GPA is 3.27.
