Basketball has played an extremely important role in my life. From my 4-year old YMCA team to my Junior year of varsity basketball, it has shaped the man I have become today. The game has helped me develop life-long skills in work ethic, cooperation and leadership.
At the same time, I have been able to use these characteristics in the classroom, resulting in my 3.86 GPA and top ten percent of my class. I plan to keep these grades throughout high school and strive to become a straight-A student in college where I plan to study business. All my life I have been surrounded by basketball. From day one when my dad told me stories about him playing high school and college basketball, I knew that I wanted to live up to his legacy. I am still striving and working for that every single day.
