Basketball is a way of life for me. It has taught me the value of hard work and has given me the drive and determination to achieve my goals. I love the complexity and competitive atmosphere that are both part of the game. Yet, for me, the best thing about basketball is the camaraderie that can be experienced with my teammates, coaches and others around me. I'm the type of player who wants to do everything I can do to make the team better. I care about the game and I respect the people who play it. I care about my team winning so much that I would rather be unselfish on the court and win games rather than worry about my stat line and have the team lose. Overall, I want to be successful both on and off the court. Academically, I have always worked hard to achieve in the classroom. I plan to be a pre-med major and pursue a career in medicine, therefore, I am looking for a school that allows me to reach my highest potential in both basketball and academics.
