Personal Statement
I have a lot of love for the game of basketball and I would like to play as long as I can. I am a 6’4 shooting guard from Mequon, WI. I am a freshman at Homestead High School and play AAU basketball for Chapman Basketball Academy (CBA).
There are many things I love about basketball. I love the competitive nature of the game. I love working to get better and meeting new friends. I love what basketball teaches me.
Basketball has shown me that if I want something, I must work for it. I always make sure to attack my weaknesses. I have worked very hard on my shooting and I have become a three level scorer because of my hard work. I have also learned lots of leadership from playing basketball. On my AAU team I know if I am a leader I must lead by example - talking on defense, taking charges, and getting on the floor.
Lastly, Basketball has shown me I need to battle through adversity. I know I am going to struggle at times, but this sport has helped teach me that in life, the classroom, and in hoops, I have to keep fighting even when things get tough to realize my dreams.
My dream is to play college basketball and I will work to make my dream become reality.
