Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Cayden Diels and I am Senior at Merrill High School in Wisconsin. I have participated in basketball since 5th grade on both school and AAU teams. I feel it is important to be a hard worker both on and off the court. Throughout the season and in between seasons, I believe it is important to train for basketball year-round by completing strength and conditioning programs along with attending skills training camps. Additionally, I ensure that I am available to assist in coaching younger athletes during summer camps. While coaching younger athletes, I understand that I am their mentor during the camp and that I have to be a positive role-model for them. Again, I believe it is important that athletes understand that they are a positive role model for younger athletes both on and off the court.
After graduation, it is my goal to pursue a degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, which will allow me to continue helping others achieve their goals. I believe that being a part of the dedication, hard work, excitement, and the struggles that individuals encounter while working to achieve their goals is an additional motivation and influence as I pursue my college education.
