I make other players better when I am on the court. Even though I am a shooting guard with deep range and a very quick release, I would much rather walk off the court knowing I played a great defensive game and made winning basketball plays in multiple phases than be the leading scorer.
I set goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. From little goals (dribbling technique, form, fundamentals and mechanics) to big ones (make varsity team at a very competitive all boys high school, become a starter on varsity as a junior, win a state championship, play college basketball).
I am quiet by nature, but have forced myself to practice good communication skills both on and off the court. I have excellent judgment and decision making skills on the court and off.
Academics do not come easily to me, but I work very very hard to ensure I remain (or come close) to making the honor roll every semester.
Faith, family, academics, basketball - in that order. I would make a great addition to your school community and college basketball team.
