Ryan Mahoney '18 Recruiting Profile

My family, school, and religion have played the biggest role in influencing my life.  My family has always supported me in everything I do.  My parents have been good role models and my siblings have challenged me to work to my potential.  As a member in my parish I have had the opportunity to volunteer through the church and in the community.  Receiving an education in a small school has given me the opportunity to participate in multiple clubs and sports.  Small class sizes have taught me accountability.  I have learned that commitment goes beyond the basketball court and season.  My leadership role on the court has carried over to academics, friendships and all the other facets of my life.  Two months before the basketball season I was faced with an obstacle.  I broke my ankle in a football game.  I worked hard through therapy to get prepared for the season.  My positive attitude always keeps me energetic and determined to take on any challenge that lies before me.
