There are two reasons why I am interested in studying in the US – the opportunity to broaden my horizons by furthering my education, while practicing my favorite sport : diving.
Diving is passion for me, I love that fact that it allows me to push my limits, face my fears and continuously evolve. In my diving club I am described as a leader, because I am one of the oldest members of the club my younger teammates look up to me, I take that seriously and ensure that I am a good role model for them. My coach will agree when I say that I am a good listener and apply the corrections that she asks of me. I am a hard worker and put my heart and soul in everything that I do – in diving as in my education.
I have always loved school and learning, even after long practices or weekends in diving meets I will take out my books and make sure that I am ready for an exam. Throughout high school I have maintained a strong average of over 80%.
Even with a busy diving and school schedule I have found time to share my passion of diving through coaching kids in the pre-competitive diving program in my Club. I love working with the kids at this level, teaching them the focus and discipline required as they move from recreational diving to the pre-competitive team. I am proud of the fact that all of my kids have moved on to the competitive team or are still diving with me.
I would love to attend an institution where I am able to further my education while continuing to dive competitively. I am open to all options and ultimately find the right match that will meet both my academic and diving goals.
My NCAA ID number is: 1609591048
