Parker Brown '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Parker Brown.  I am a senior at Westbrook Christian School.  I have been playing golf on the varsity golf team since my seventh grade year.  Golf has always been a part of my life and I would like to continue that during my college experience as well.  I believe that I possess leadership qualities and the mental ability to be a student athlete at the college level.  Also, I know that this would give me an opportunity to play golf against some of the best players in the nation.  My father played football for Samford University and he has always instilled a firm work ethic in my life and encouraged me to pursue college athletics.  I know that playing golf in college will not only help to improve my game but also continue to mold my character with life skills.  During my junior year, I was named to the all state team which requires a top ten finish in our state championship.  My team achieved state runner up during that same year.  It was an honor to help them reach this goal.  It is our desire to bring home a state championship trophy for our school next year.  I am 100% committed to representing my team, my school and my family well.  I am interested in also pursing an education in engineering and aviation.  Flying is a hobby of mine that I enjoy on a regular basis.  I am also an active part of my youth group at church each week.  Hopefully, I will receive an opportunity to play golf on scholarship with a university that can meet my education need and help me to pursue my life goals.
