My name is Blake Eddy and I'm a multi-sport athlete. My game has improved incredibly over the last season and I would love to play at the next level because I love golf and I love competing. My junior year, I was really putting in the practice but not getting the results I wanted. I committed to work on my mental game and read books and started working with a mental coach the summer before senior year. The work I put in over June and July had an immediate impact on my scores. I continued to work on it throughout the season and my scoring average was just about one stroke over par including several sub-par rounds. I work at a golf course here in Phoenix and I frequently get to work early or stay late to work on my short game at the practice facility.
I am involved in a high level student leadership position at my school which improves my leadership skills on and off the course. My position is the Vice President of JALAC (Jaguar Athletic Leadership Advisory Committee) at my school. Once every month, I participate in the AIA SLAC (Arizona Interscholastic Association, Student Leadership Advisory Committee) meetings and bring back what I learn and implement it into my school.
