Personal Statement
When I was 10, my older brother introduced me to the game of golf. I had been playing competitive soccer and baseball, so golf felt very natural to me. After begging for a year, my parents put me in a summer camp where I met my first swing coach, Alex Black. I immediately fell in LOVE with golf and never stopped! My biggest challenge came the summer before my freshman year when my parents announced their divorce. This forced me to grow up much faster and mature quicker than the other kids. I’m so grateful for my strong family core with Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents living next to me to give me the support I needed.
Qualifying to go to State as a Freshman, was an amazing experience! I feel I grow the most when I work through challenges. Incorporating Yoga training has helped me deal with my frustrations as well as triumphs in my game. This year, I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, being a young leader and being serious and focused when it’s time to step up to the tee. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically and help me achieve my Engineering Degree. I know I have what it takes to be a great member of your team!
