Personal Statement
I am a golf fanatic from Chandler, Arizona. I have started on my high school's varsity golf team for four years now, freshman through senior year. I have also earned 1st team all academic athletic awards all four years as well as winning the 2020 Junior Golf Association of Arizona Sportsmanship award. I have qualified for the high school state championship tournament for the fourth time as well as winning the state championship as a team my junior year. My senior year, I finished 20th individually in the entire Division II for high school golf with a season average of 36.1 strokes.
I currently have a GPA of 3.76. Going into high school I knew that my grades were going to be incredibly important, so these last 3.5 years I have been constantly working hard and trying my absolute best to achieve the grades that I desire. I have decided that when i go into college, I want t get a degree in microbiology. I have always been fascinated in science and I would love to expand my knowledge in that area of study.
I have one passion in life and that is to golf. My goal is to take my skills as a player as far as they will allow me to go. I also want to incorporate my love for the game into my future career and potentially become a player on tour.
My overall strengths in my game include having a consistent and strong short game as well as being a powerful ball striker. I am at the course everyday trying to improve my game anyway that I can and to become the best player I can possibly be. Ever since I first swung a golf club, I knew that one day I could become something special, and I know that by working hard and not giving up, I know that my dreams could one day be a reality.
