Personal Statement

My name is Caden Petersen, and I am strongly passionate about the game of golf. I have only been playing golf full-time since June of 2022, and ever since I picked up a club, I have been obsessed. I have worked tirelessly to be the best that I can be day-in and day-out to improve every aspect of my game. I truly believe, NO ONE can out-work me.

After making the Notre Dame Prep Varsity golf team as a Freshman in 2022, I also qualified for the State Championships in Arizona and our team took 2nd place. My aspiration for this game goes way farther than that though. I plan on playing D1 golf one day and then going on to play on the PGA Tour eventually as well. Making it there is a huge challenge, but my ultimate goal is to be the greatest player to ever step foot on a golf course. I have a long way to go, but I can assure you that I am the most passionate and hardest working player out there, and any University will be able to see that right away. In the classroom, my grades have always been solid and I’m currently sitting at a 3.65 GPA thru my first 2 years at Notre Dame Prep High School.

More importantly than all of that, I am a strong Christian, and I do my very best every day to help those in need, spread kindness, and help others find their way to Christ.

I have such an incredible passion on and off the golf course to do my best, and I will give it my ultimate best to represent myself every day in a manner that reflects what my University would want in a student-athlete.
