2024 Highlights Personal Statement
I am excited about the possibility of playing competitive college golf while pursuing a degree in Engineering or business. I am a 2025 high school graduate from Semiahmoo Secondary School in South Surrey, BC, Canada. I have been playing golf for the past four years, starting junior tours in 2021, and competing in tournaments such as MJT, CJGA, AJGA, VGT, BC Golf, and Canada Golf Tours. From an early age, I have been involved in various sports, including soccer, track and field, swimming, and table tennis. However, it is golf that has truly captured my heart. Over the last four years, I have dedicated myself entirely to this sport, constantly striving to improve and gain experience.
I have had the privilege of working with Coach Jonnie Motomochi, a former NCAA D1 golfer from Oregon State University, and Coach Brett Saunders, recognized as one of Canada’s top-50 instructors, at Morgan Creek Golf Performance Academy. Their guidance has been instrumental in my development as a golfer. I am currently focused on a sport performance program designed to enhance my strength, balance, stability, and stress control. My interest in sports science and kinesiology aligns with my long-term goal of developing athletic skills and knowledge in golf and sports.
In addition to my athletic pursuits, I maintain a balanced life with academics and other interests. I am a member of a great jazz program, performing in local communities as well as festivals and tours in the United States.
