Personal Statement
Passion. It’s what I feel for the two most significant things in my life-golf and school. I have loved golf since I began playing at the age of four and I spend everyday out on the course challenging myself to get better. My love for school is no less. Everyday, I look forward to learning something that I didn’t know before.
Last year as a freshman, I played on the varsity team. We had a young team, and I saw first hand that it takes more than just talent to compete and win. Throughout our season, I played every match and earned multiple medals in addition to shooting multiple under-par rounds. At the end of the season, I received the Scholar Athlete award and the Lion award for outstanding athletic performance, work ethic and Christian values.
Golf is a gift that I have been blessed enough to play. My dream is to spend my college years playing college golf and with my attitude, work ethic and personal vision, I have the qualities to be an integral part of a successful college golf team. I believe that every player on a team has a reason and a purpose. And that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In golf and school, there is much to learn, and everyday, I can’t wait to get to work.
