Personal Statement
My biggest golf achievement is my second-place finish in a College Golf Combine at Oak Valley Country Club. I played very well both days of the combine, carding a 72-73. This has also been my biggest learning experience, as it has taught me how to deal with and thrive under pressure. I have learned a lot through this experience because, had I not made a huge mistake on the last hole, finishing with a double bogey, I would have won the event.
During my 3 years in high school, our girls golf team has gotten 2nd, 1st, and 3rd in State CIF. My goal is to reach State CIF as a team, as well as individually before I graduate. I have finished 4th and 3rd in our league in my first two years of high school, and hope to continue to help my team to improve substantially in these next two years. I know that wherever I go for college, I will be a very encouraging teammate, and I will always try to help people to better their game while I am working on my own game. Also, I am very dedicated and persistent, so I will never give up when I am not playing well, but I will grind out every shot and fight to get strokes back wherever I can.
