Personal Statement

I have been playing golf for 5 years now and I have been in love with the game ever since. Previously, I had played competitive lacrosse for 6 years but after taking up golf I haven't looked back. I have excelled greatly every single year by playing year-round in Optimist, JGAC, JGAA, CGA, AJGA, Legends Tour, and Hurricane tournaments. This has given me great exposure to playing around the country at different courses, grasses, and altitudes. In high school, thus far, I have played varsity golf and made state 4 years in a row now. I play for Cheyanne Mountain High School but I go to school at TCA College Pathways; since they don't have a golf team, I decided to play for Cheyenne Mountain. TCA College Pathways is a unique school opportunity where I take both high school and college classes, preparing me for a full-time schedule in college balancing a life of both school and golf.  When it comes to high school golf I am an excellent teammate, I lead Cheyanne Mountain to the state title my sophomore year and my senior year, and I seek to help others succeed. I believe I would fit perfectly in college golf because I am a great team player, I have good golf scores individually and have tons of room to grow as an athlete and improve those scores and continue to excel given a great coach and college. I also dream of playing on the PGA Tour one day!
