Peter Stinar '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Peter Stinar. I attend St. Mary's Catholic High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a part of the class of 2021. At St. Mary’s I have played basketball, lacrosse, and golf. I was the captain of the freshman basketball team. I was named honorable mention for lacrosse as a sophomore. However, my true passion lies with golf. I have been the number 1 player on the St. Mary’s golf team every year since my freshman year of 2017/2018. I have qualified for the 3A Colorado state championship each year of my high school career. My junior year I placed T-7th at the 3A Colorado state championship at Eisenhower Golf Course at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. As a result, I was the top finisher for the Pikes Peak area 3A high schools. In addition to my athletic achievements, I am focused on academics. My high school experience has taught me valuable lessons regarding sports and academics. I have come to the realization that academics are as important as sports. I plan on continuing my academic excellence in college with the study of business, majoring in accounting. Both school and golf have taught me to be positive, focused, and hard working. With me as an addition to a college golf team you can expect me to do whatever I need to help the team succeed. I am a very coachable player. I take direction and feedback very well. I apply that input to my game. I hope that I can find and foster a great relationship with a college golf team.
